Our Statement of Faith…
We deeply believe these truths –
About God: God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He exists outside of time being eternally Self-existent, Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent. There is only one God. He has revealed himself in three distinct personalities: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each is eternal, co-equal and fully God.
About the Bible: The Bible (Old and New Testaments) is inspired by God, and is the only written revelation to humankind. Human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote it. The Bible is TRUTH without any mixture of error and is the supreme authority for faith and practice (WHAT we believe and HOW we live).
About Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is eternal. He is God. His virgin birth and sinless life qualified him to make the atoning payment through His substitutionary death upon the cross. His death and resurrection after three days demonstrated His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven where He waits to return triumphantly to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is co-equal and co-existent with the Father and the Son. He convicts persons of their sin and need for a Savior. He permanently indwells the believer from the moment of salvation, providing comfort in suffering, guidance in decision making, understanding of scripture, gifts of service and power for living a righteous life.
About Salvation: Salvation is a free gift from God. It cannot be eanred and it is never deserved. The gift is acquired by personally trusting in Jesus Christ alone and His death on the cross. Once this faith is exercised, salvation is immediate, complete and eternal. The believer testifies of this faith through baptism by immersion. The evidence of genuine faith and salvation is a life that is being changed, on a daily basis, to be MORE like Christ.
About You: You were made in the spiritual image of God. You are the supreme object of God’s creation and love. Because of original sin (Adam) and your own willful disobedience to God, you are married spiritually and eternally separated from God unless you choose to restore the relationship with Him through a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
About God’s Church: The Church is the visible, physical presence of Jesus Christ. He is the Head. The body is to communicate His message of grace and love for the world in ways that are tangible and understandable. The body is to grow and mature in Christ, preparing for and anticipating His ultimate glorious return.
